WWE Releases Flair, Syxx-Pac Update, Al Snow's Request
The following news is derived from the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter.
David Flair has been released from the WWE developmental system. Although it has nothing to do with his release, it's worth mentioning that there was some heat between David and Andrew "Test" Martin due to the fact that Flair had been dating Stacy Keibler during their time together in WCW, and now she is seeing Test.
Sean "Syxx-Pac" Waltman was late arriving to the October 2nd NWA-TNA show. Apparently, Waltman informed Scott Hall to wake him up from his usual mid-day nap at the hotel, but Hall never stopped by.
Al Snow asked WWE management to let him take several weeks off the road after the conclusion of the filming of the third season of Tough Enough in order to take a breather and tend to personal business at home. Whether or not he was granted that request isn't known, but we saw him return on RAW last Monday, which could indicate that his request was denied

Luger/Sting Returning to Wrestling, Billy Gunn's Injury, & More
- As was reported earlier, Scott Steiner, Lex Luger, and Sting are scheduled to appear and wrestle for WWA (World Wrestling Allstars) this coming November 29 through December 7th in the UK. More on this story has come in. We've gotten emails asking if any of the 3 wrestlers would be in the ring against each other. Right now there are no plans of having a Steiner/Sting or a Sting/Luger match and so fourth. Each wrestler would have there own matches with other competitors. But anything can change from now till November. We'll keep you posted.
- On Billy Gunn's injury status, Gunn dislocated his shoulder last Monday night in London, Ontario, and was also examined by Dr. Andrews this week. No surgery is scheduled at this time as doctors want to wait a few weeks to see if a nerve problem in his shoulder clears up. They'll re-examine Billy in early November. This is the same shoulder that the veteran had surgically repaired a few years ago. This was one of the most disturbing dislocations veteran observers could remember ever seeing.

Backstage No Mercy News: Jericho/Booker, Broken Rope, more
The following news highlights are courtesy of an article on WWE.com:
Goldust, despite battling chronic neck and back pain, felt his match with Booker T against Jericho and Christian came off as a success. Goldust mentioned that his injuries seemed to disappear when the adrenaline started flowing.
Goldust said that along with three other professionals, he felt all did a good job in working around a broken rope. Jericho went for a Lionsault off the middle rope as usual, and the rope completely exploded. Jericho, along with the other three involved, did good improvising by using the top-rope for the Lionsault finish.
Jericho said that the rope completely exploded and he saw fragments flying everywhere after it happened. Jericho commented by saying he was lucky the top rope didn't break when he went for the moonsault finish, as he could have been badly injured.
