Huge Backstage Heat On Undertaker & Triple H
The following news is derived and re-written from the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter.
There is growing frustration among the mid-card and lower-card WWE wrestlers lately. Many feel that Vince McMahon has let Triple H and Undertaker run a muck on the company, giving them way too much power.
Wrestlers continue to believe that Triple H has been persuading management to cool the pushes of anyone who starts getting hot, the most recent being Rob Van Dam. Undertaker on the other hand is in power simply because of his seniority with the company and loyalty to McMahon when WCW was stealing his top stars left and right.
While many wrestlers consider these two to be the locker room leaders, and respect them for their contributions to the company, a lot are growing frustrated to the point where they have lost a great deal of respect for them. The "straw that broke the camel's back" was when HHH and Undertaker were involved in a meeting held by the road agents, and RAW talent, basically informing "the boys" to start working harder. As reported before, the wrestlers felt that may have been true, but 'Taker and HHH were the wrong people to be telling them that. Many feel that Undertaker's status as locker room leader has evaporated lately because of lost respect for the "Dead Man" due to the fact that he's been doing the wrong thing for business lately. Many assume 'Taker has been protecting himself during matches and segments at the expense of those he is working with. The "straw that broke the camel's back" for him was when he made a huge scene backstage at Unforgiven and completely refused to put Brock Lesnar over. Many are surprised as Undertaker is on a brand where there are so much talent that is "this close" to being main-event status, simply needing the rub from a veteran such as 'Taker.

Chris Jericho Injury, Horrible Ticket Sales For No Mercy
The WWE attendance problem looks as if it may extend its damage to PPVs. This Sunday's No Mercy, which emanates from an arena that seats 13,000, only has around 4,000 tickets sold. Even though that number will increase by a good number before Sunday, it does not look like No Mercy will be anywhere near a sellout.
Chris Jericho was apparently very happy after his TLC match on RAW. Jericho was amazed with how good it turned out and feels that it's one of the only good gimmick matches left in WWE. These positive comments come even though Chris legitimately hurt his head when he fell from the top of the ladder and banged his head of the ring steps.

More RAW News & Notes: HHH/Kane, McMahon, & More
As reported earlier this week, there is a big meeting planned to be held with the entire RAW roster prior to going live with tonight's show. Earlier it was reported that the meeting was being held for Vince McMahon to blame the wrestlers for the poor product lately. That doesn't seem to be the case, but nonetheless, the meeting will be talking about the poor product lately and areas WWE feel needs improved.

Latest Details On The Return Of The 4-Horsemen, Kane Mistake, & More
Canoe.ca has an interesting article about the rumored 4-Horsemen return. The article goes onto doubt the success of such an angle, claiming that the only really good version of the group was the original in the eighties, which featured Ole Anderson, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and Ric Flair. Basically, the story claims that the faction had the perfect combination of the top heel in the business, a rising star, and the top heel tag team. If the plan for the Horsemen is set into action, and is reformed with HHH, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista, it likely wouldn't mean as much as the original faction did, due to it not exactly fitting the mold (unless WWE makes modifications to the talent beforehand). As the article says, none of the many different Four-Horsemen groups were as powerful as the first due to the lack of careful selection of members.
There was an error on WWE's website this morning that featured the splash for RAW with Kane on it saying "10/9 CT". It has since been fixed to say the correct time of 9/8 CT.

Chris Jericho Injured, Triple H Update, & More
Bubba Ray Dudley, who literally didn't know where he was after last Monday's TLC match, wasn't the only injured superstar to come out of the bout. Apparently Chris Jericho's head was ringing after the match due to a spill he took off of the ladder that caused his head to crash into the steel ringside steps. He isn't injured to the point where he will miss any ring time, but was a bit shooken up backstage after the match.
Triple H will be a guest on this coming Wednesday's "Best d**n Sports Show Period" on Fox Sports at 8:00pm Eastern Time. He will mainly be promoting No Mercy, but will also possibly talk about being the announcer for this Saturday's "Mr. Olympia" contest as well.

Austin/WWE Mistake, Taker/Brock *Spoiler* Rumor Killer Story By: Daniel Edler
-- Just a note, whilst StoneCold.com is still online with the "full story" as to why Austin departed the WWE, if you go into the "Stunner", "Road Rage" or "Blood Bath" areas, all of the multimedia which is linked there has been deleted from WWE.com. Another WWE website team error, so it seems.
-- Thanks to reader Ravel for the following:
"Hey Daniel.
I recently emailed NWA-TNA to find out if they needed any help with graphics for their website. I sent along some of my best samples, but was rejected. However, it wasn’t a straight up rejection, I was rejected because NWA-TNA are going to be changing and re-launching their site.
This could possibly mean a new site design and general direction for NWA-TNA online. This would also explain them not updating their Media section."
-- And finally, a lot of readers have been pointing out that Brock Lesnar is definitely going to win at No Mercy, due to future WWE scheduling.
WWE have announced that Lesnar will be defending his title against Edge at the UK Only pay per view, Rebellion, on October 26th, 6 days after No Mercy.
However, as is very common with UK Pay Per Views (some call them over-glorified house shows), cards can change with no less than 24 hours, or even 12 hours notice.

Shane McMahon, Justin Credible, Lawler on Comedy Central
(Thanks To Martin Hawyrsko)
Shane McMahon, Justin Credible, Lawler on Comedy Central
- Shane McMahon when seen at WWE events is seen usually at Pay-Per-Views and the night after on Raw. He usually is settling arguments going on between wrestlers. Shane currently is working with WWE's media department.
- It has been suggested that Justin Credible be moved to the Smackdown roster, where Paul Heyman is the writer. Credible recieved the biggest push of his career when he was with Heyman in ECW.

Thanks to reader DJ GROOVEMATIC for e-mailing me the following.
I was watching Insomniac on Comedy Central Wednesday night. They were checking out Memphis, TN and went to a strip club. In a room the host was sitting next to Jerry "The King" Lawler, and "The King" had a stripper next to him on a couch. In the same room were 2 strippers making out in a hot tub. Jerry was in his WWE costume and in character (puppies) watching the ladies and said he was going to referee a "naked Jell-O match". Next camera shot was "The King" in a referee shirt, standing in a big, Jell-O filled kiddy pool with 4 strippers in the middle. He blew the whistle and the girls threw each other around while Jerry "made the calls" . It ended with all the girls topless jumping and wrestling with Jerry. The club went wild with guys throwing beer and whip cream on the girls. Just thought I'd send this as an interesting clip I seen on TV.

Bischoff Wants Hogan on Raw, No Mercy News/Seats
- From what I’m being told, Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon sat down to talk about bringing back Hulk Hogan this weekend. Apparently, Vince feels Hogan would be great back on WWE TV, but personal problems between him and Hogan are putting a halt on the situation. Vince feels Hogan just isn't what he was worth at one point in his career, as well as one point last year, so Hogan's pay would be dock a good chunk. On the other hand, Bischoff thinks he would be a great addition to the Raw brand and could possibly boost up ratings. If Hogan was brought back to the WWE he would most likely be on Raw working with Bischoff. We'll let you know more on the situation as it comes in.
- On an update on No Mercy tickets, you can still get excellent seats for the No Mercy PPV this weekend. Blocks of four $200 tickets are available on Ticketmaster. I have heard that less than 5,000 tickets have been sold for the show. Once source said that the sales were under 4,000. Obviously, WWE hopes for a big walk up and if you are in Little Rock and want to go, I would listen to the radio for comps if I were you.

Rhyno Returning to WWE soon, Kanyon/OVW; more
- Rhyno, who has been out of WWE action for over a year now is almost ready for a return. Rhyno was evaluated last week by Dr Youngblood and was said to have ended on good terms. Rhyno is set for an approximate return in December. If your wondering who Dr Youngblood is, He's the doctor who takes car of all the serious injuries in WWE.
- Kanyon has been doing some light work in the ring as well in the past few days and is hoping for a release from doctor's care sometime around Oct. 22. Kanyon will need several weeks in OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling) to get back in shape and regain his in-ring work.

Backstage RAW News: Pat Patterson Injured, Vince McMahon's Meeting
The following news is partially derived from PWTorch.com:
The word going around after last night's RAW is that Pat Patterson received a shoulder injury after suffering from a Jamal and Rosey attack. It is believed that he may have dislocated or even broken that shoulder. He was in a lot of pain backstage and was receiving medical treatment after the segment. He is not the first person to suffer pain after a Jamal/Rosey attack.
Vince McMahon's highly anticipated "RAW meeting" did not take place as planned last night. It turns out that a production meeting went long and the meeting had to be postponed until next week. My guess is that the rating for last night's RAW will definitely influence the meeting, either positively or negatively.

Backstage Heat On Rosey & Jamal At Last Night's RAW
As we reported earlier today, Pat Patterson suffered what is believed to be a broken, or possibly seperated shoulder during his segment on Monday's RAW.
Apparently there is a lot of heat on Rosey and Jamal for not "taking care" of Pat Patterson during the attack that caused his shoulder injury. Rosey and Jamal have had a huge reputation on the indy scene for injuring opponents, and brought that with them to WWE when they were careless with the original "Hot Lesbian Action" girl Looney Lane.
Many are saying that they haven't been used on television much lately, despite such a huge introduction to the company, because of weight issues. Some argue that by saying their careless style won't be put up with due to high injury risk and the fact that almost all the major players for the company have been dropping left and right with injuries.
Whatever the situation, Rosey and Jamal are definitely in hot water with the company for injuring Pat Patterson, someone very instrumental in pyschology used in matches to "tell a story." His longevity with the company and friendship with upper management makes him an important figure in WWE, and Rosey and Jamal picked the wrong guy, at the wrong time, to injure due to carelessness.

Kevin Nash Speaks On nWo, Scott Hall, Vince McMahon, HBK
Thanks to Sean Pasternak for passing along the following:
Kevin Nash did a Q&A with fans tonight at The World before Raw went on the air. When asked about who he'd like to wrestle when he's healthy he said "the little Dudley Guy" or Molly Holly. He said he's still a few months away from returning. He said unlike his friend Triple H, he's ten years older. He said he spoke to Scott Hall last week and he's doing fine. He said even though Vince McMahon said the NWO music has played for the last time, "Vince has been wrong about things before."
He also said that if Shawn Michaels wanted to team with him at WrestleMania, he'd be willing to. Someone asked him about Bill Goldberg. All Nash said was, "He's working in All Japan now." Throughout the segment, Nash kept making jokes about Lillian Garcia working at the Scores nightclub three nights a week.
Nash seemed like he was having a good time, signed autographs for almost an hour and seemed like a decent guy.
Also, right before Raw went live, Terri conducted an interview with Chris Jericho and Christian where they said that they're from Western Canada and basically riled up the Quebec crowd. That's funny; I thought Christian was from Toronto (just like me), and that hardly seems like Western Canada. Oh, well....
Anyways, just wanted to let you guys know. Also, the World club was maybe half full for the event.

Big RAW Meeting Update, Billy Gunn Injury Notes, No Mercy
Although it was speculated that Billy Gunn suffered a wrist injury at the SmackDown! brand house show last night, it now looks more like a bad shoulder injury. Gunn was seen holding his wrist after the missed spot. They went directly to the finish of the match after they realized Gunn was injured. More details as we get them.
On SportsCenter last night, Stuart Scott in the opening of the show says, "We are bringing the pain WWE style.
Advance sales for the No Mercy PPV in Little Rock this weekend are only around 3,800. The arena goal at this point is to fill the lower bowl and have a crowd around 7-8,000.
Although Vince McMahon postponed his meeting with talent before RAW yesterday because the production meeting ran longer than expected, he is expected to try it again next week.

Backstage RAW Notes, Test Heat, HHH Update, & More
Backstage frustration continues to grow towards Test. This was the reason Test was not used on last night's RAW, on television at least. Nothing really new to the situation, however the punishment from WWE to Test continues as he was not used on television, instead forced to wrestle a dark match against an indy wrestler before the Heat tapings began.
D'Lo Brown will be hosting the SmackDown! party at The World in Times Square, New York this coming Thursday. Obviously there won't be any live cut backs as SmackDown! is a taped show. You can pick up tickets for the SmackDown! Party at The World Box Office.
Don't forget, Triple H will be a guest on FOX Sports "Best d**n Sports Show Period" this coming Wednesday at 8PM ET/PT. He will be promoting his upcoming No Mercy match, as well as his upcoming announcing for the Mr. Olympia contest.
