I know we don't get this in the uk but here's a report on TE3:
Thanks to Buck Woodward for this report:
The season finale of Tough Enough III, live from The World in New York City, began with Jim Ross, Senior VP of Talent Relations for WWE, opening the show. He thanked the fans for braving the cold to come to the event. He then introduced Jonathan Coachman and Ivory, who were the hosts for the evening. They invited the five finalists to come up on the stage. They gave a final plug for the website, where fans could vote for a final cut before the winners were selected.
They showed a montage of all the cuts/quitters from this season.
Back at the World, we saw Justin was in attendance, and they mentioned that he was one cut away from making the final five. The contestants were on stage with Ivory and Coach, and Al Snow was brought out to make the cut. Al told the group that this night was for them, and that he was proud of them. He told them that their dreams could still come true, regardless of tonight's outcome. Al told them to sit down if they were not cut. Matt was seated first, then Jonah, then John, then with Al standing in front of Jamie, he told Eric to sit down. Jamie was then escorted off the stage by Big.
Jamie is cut. We are down to four.
Big walked Jamie to a back room, where her family was, and they consoled her on being cut.
Coach asked Ivory if she agreed with the cut made by the fans. Ivory said the fans were smart, and that Jamie was not quite ready yet.
An extended collection of highlights was shown, including the infamous Bob Holly incident.
Josh Matthews interviewed Jamie about being cut by the fans. She gave the standard "I will be back" and seemed awfully pumped up for someone who had their chance at a dream job taken away by Internet fans.
The final four contestants were profiled with highlight packages.
Kelly of Tough Enough III was shown in attendance.
Nidia came out to award the first contract.
The first winner is John. He gave a brief acceptance speech, promising to do his best.
(Not to toot my own horn, but from last week's report: "So, who do I pick? I think John is a lock")
Scott of Tough Enough III was shown in attendance, sitting next to Al Snow.
A collection of humorous moments from the thirteen weeks, most of which did not air in the regular season, was shown, including a montage of Jonah calling people "dude".
Maven came out to award the second contract. Maven thanked all the trainers involved in Tough Enough III, then announced the winner.
The second winner is Matt.
Matt hugged Eric on his way to the stage. He let out a yell on stage, then thanked Christ for making it possible. Matt thanked the trainers, the past winners, his family, his friends and the fans.
Al Snow interviewed Jonah about losing. Jonah congratulated both John and Matt on their wins. He said this was the best six months of his life, and that the fans would see him in the ring with John and Matt soon.
Josh Matthews interviewed Eric. Eric admitted that he was "pissed" about being cut, but he made it clear that he would continue to pursue a career, and congratulated the winners.
The winners stood onstage with their families to end the show.
