-- At last night's UPW event in California, it was confirmed that former WCW star Horshu has signed with WWE. Rick Bassman, the UPW promoter, said that Horshu wrestled a dark match last Tuesday at the Smackdown! tapings. Since the WCW was bought out by WWE, Horshu has been doing indy bookings as well as the Zero-One tour in Japan.
-- According to many reports, Sky Digital in UK is close to opening a new channel that would just be about professional wrestling. The new channel would feature New Japan Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Ring of Honor, Ohio Valley Wrestling and Combat Zone Wrestling, among other promotions around Europe. Nothing has been said about featuring WWE on the channel. The new channel is planning on opening around September. CZW confirmed several weeks ago they had a TV deal going on in the UK and also ROH owner Rob Feinstein also confirmed that ROH would be involved.
