What You Didn't See On RAW - HHH/Undertaker Story By: Fred Cook August 27, 2002
Thanks to reader Anthony Randazzo for sending in the following:
After the show: After the Stephanie/Bischoff segment, the show went off the air, but HHH and 'Taker were still in the ring. HHH was on the turnbuckle yelling because he was #1 contender for nothing. When he got down and turned around, the Undertaker hit him with a Chokeslam followed by a Last Ride. Taker then got on his bike and rode up the ramp, saluting the crowd at the top. HHH was down in the ring for a while, then got up and started yelling at Earl Hebner.
Triple H finally got Hebner to enter the ring, and yelled at him more. HHH then pushed Earl, who pushed HHH to the ground! Earl then backed HHH into the corner and was screaming at him. HHH got up and threatened to punch, but Earl ran out of the ring and got a chair. He then ran after HHH and chased him all the way to the back with the chair! Earl posed on the stage for a while, to the delight of the crowd. Lillian then thanked us for coming, and that was the end of an awesome evening.

What You Didn't See On RAW - Off-Air Pillow Fight! Story By: Matt Boone September 03, 2002
Thanks to reader Brian Scheller for sending the following live/off-camera RAW notes:
First off i love your site and check it out everyday. I just attended Raw tonight in Milwaukee, WI. It was an alright show, I would have liked to see someone come on from SmackDown! but oh well.
Not much happened after the cameras stopped rolling, Jericho left to his music and HHH did the same but HHH had them stop the music and had Lillian announce him as the world champion.
The main event was alright but i would have rather seen Jericho vs. RVD and have HHH come in to interfere rather then have HHH and Flair wrestle again. But the best match of the night was the Lingerie Pillow Fight, everyone loved that match. The only thing that didn't air on that pillow-fight match were the guys carrying the bed to the ring, which was normal. But it was funny seeing grown men carrying stuffed teddy bears and feminine pillows to the ring.

What You Didn't See On WWE RAW Last Night
After Jericho's entrance during the commercial break, Jericho picked up the microphone and said "It sucks to be in a 'piss poor' town like Denver, CO" to wich the crowd started chanting "Jericho Sucks". Jericho said "Do you think I suck? Is that really what you think? Well good because the only thing that sucks around this town is the Denver Broncos". Huge heat for that.
After RAW went off the air, Hebner grabbed the belt from RVD and RVD left to his entrance music. HHH laid in the ring for another 5 minutes or so until Hebner helped him up. He held up the title and then fell down. This happened one more time before he proceeded to the back.

What You Didn't See On WWE RAW Last Night - HHH/Kane
Thanks to reader Daniel Gracia for sending in the following RAW notes:
RAW returned to Compaq Center in Houston. Great live show, but the WWE is in deep trouble. They tarped off most of the top section at the arena. Only the top section in the TV view and the lower bowl were full. A little over a year ago, they were able to sell-out a Smackdown.
After RAW ended, HHH and Kane had a stare-down. Kane finally got HHH to get in the ring. They fought for a couple of minutes before Kane hit the chokeslam and left with his 2 belts. HHH posed for a few minutes. He started to leave, but he went all the way around the ringside to do it. He argued with a bunch of guys with a bedsheet sign that said "HHH Sucks" and then he argued with some guy who was really pissed. HHH just kept pointing to the ring and then to the World Title before blowing the guy off and leaving. No return date announced.

What You Didnt See On RAW - More TLC Action!
Thanks to Willie Ramirez for sending along the following:
The first pop of the evening was for Lillian Garcia, when she made her way through the Titan Tron, and got even louder for good ol' J.R.
Plenty of cool signs and giant cut-out letters calling for H.L.A. filled the arena as it kicked off with Bischoff and his roulette wheel, which highly popular with the fans. Of course there were cries for H.L.A. throughout the night especially when the Raw Roulette Wheel was being spun.
The biggest pops of the night were for:
Booker T, Triple H, William Regal having to compete in a Las Vegas Showgirls Match, Trish Stratus, and her getting Stacy Kiebler's shorts off. Al Snow got a huge pop, as did the roulette wheel's decision of hnis match with Test being a Las Vegas Street Fight. Jerry Lawler, The Godfather and his ho's before the It's Legal in Nevada Match, Kane, Bubba Ray & Spike RVD & Jeff Hardy.
Quite honestly, there were barely any jeers, except for Chris Jericho who made same not-so nice gestures to the crowd when RAW went off the air. Not sure if he was playing out his heel role, or actually pissed.
Of the seven wrestlers who competed in the tag team TLC match, he was the only one who didn¹t get a rousing ovation from the crowd once they exited the arena. The crowd was very appreciative of the high-flying match, and showed its gratitude by cheering loudly for every wrestler when exited. But when it came to Jericho the boos were flying, and so were Y2J¹s in an inappropriate manner. But, as mentioned, it could've been part of his heel role.
Although WWE's great off-the-air show last time RAW visited Vegas kept the crowd around for an extra 30 minutes with Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Rock putting on some great gimmicks, the TLC match seemed to take a lot out of everyone and viewers around the country didn't necessarily miss out on much.
Not sure how the pops came across on TV for the TLC match, but in person they were deservingly loud, as the moves each entertainer performed were even more amazing in person.

What You Didn't See On RAW Last Night
Thanks to Daniel Roy for these notes:
The Bell Centre was pretty full except for the nosebleed sections. It was pretty packed, but definitely not a sellout. As always, the unruly Montreal crowd did a few "You screwed Bret chants." I guess you can call it a Montreal tradition.
Before Raw began, Christian & Chris Jericho cut a promo against Montreal and Quebec in general. They did the same thing the last time they were in Montreal, with Lance Storm, to avoid the Canadian face pop.
They showed an ad for the Scorpion King DVD. Upon seeing The Rock, the Montreal crowd went into a very loud "Rocky sucks" chant.
Don't know if it was just me, but it seemed that aside from the main event, the crowd was more alive during breaks than during the show itself. The pointless "Kane the murderer" angle killed the crowd.

What You Didn't See On WWE RAW Last Night
-- Thanks to reader Michael Mills for the following:
Raw was live tonight from Nashville and yours truly was in attendance. The Gaylord Arena was suprisingly empty tonight. The entire non-tv side was near empty, while the tv side was full as usual. Our seats were just next to the ramp and stage, right above the floors. I was able to get a few good sneak peaks behind the stage, but it didn't serve much interest.
The show started off with three contestants from 101.1 The Beat, a local radio station, having a contest on who could do the best Spinerooni! The youngest of the three one it with a pretty d**n good spinerooni, and won the chance to meet the man himself, Booker T.
A dark match with R.C. Haas and a few other jobbers took place at the beginning of the show. Sunday Night Heat kicked off with Lita getting a huge pop from the crowd. The matches were decent, and the Nashville crowd was starting to get into it.
Lilian Garcia started the show off with her beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. From there, the show kicked off for the nation, live from Nashville, Tennessee.
In between commercial breaks, the crowd was treated to WWE vignettes, Desire videos, and t-shirt giveaways.
The Katie Vick segment with HHH posing as Kane seemed to have come off really bad live. Its presentation, while neatly done, seemed rather outlandish and obscene to many in attendance. While it did appear that the masses found in humorous, many parents were in fact either leaving with their children during the segment, or just before the segment began. One instance was where a mother and her son, sitting just in front of me, actually got up and walked out once the Warning came on the Titantron. Lots of obscenities and upset fans voiced their opinions throughout the segment. Overall, I think it might have been a bad move by the WWE, and to have saved content such as that for a PPV, but regardless, the segment worked to build HHH as a heel, gain some humor, and help to put over the Kane/HHH angle once more.
For the crowd being so small considering its turnout last year for Raw, and earlier in the year for Judgment Day, there seemed to be a loud roar throughout the night.
The Biggest Pops: HBK Booker T Kane RVD
Biggest Heat: Triple H Lance Storm & William Regal Jericho Eric Bischoff

the 11th November
Thanks to reader Jeff Wahlman
-They played a Torrie Wilson WWE Divas Video to a song by the band Garbage during a commercial, as well as the Jeff Hardy Desire Video. They also shot Jeff Hardy t-shirts into the crowd, after his match with the t-shirt gun, like with the Kane shirts. Nearly all the rest of the breaks were watching Guy X who got hurt in his match be helped up and walk off.
-Victoria stood silently in the ring during the entire commercial break holding the mic and looking like a tool instead of doing some mic work to keep us entertained. Another note, they showed the backstage skit of Terri hearing Victoria talking in the ring on the WWEntertainmentTron while Victoria was in the ring, so Victoria should have been responding to Terri for it to make any sense to the live crowd.
-D-Lo didn't even get his full entrance, he walked to the ring silently as a backstage skit played, then his music kicked in halfway through when they cut to him in the ring. I was wondering why he hasn't gotten the pops on Raw he has on Heat, and this kind of undercutting may be why.
-After the show, Jericho's music continued and he left, then Kane's music played and Kane left, followed by Booker T/RVD who posed a bit, then Michaels' music played as he was helped off by Earl Hebner. Finally, Flair helped Triple H out after Triple H's music kicked in. Yawn.
Notes: I stuck around outside the arena to watch the guys leave afterwards. They had the street roped off and plenty of security. I was surprised to see ALL of the boys driving by themselves, except for Test/Kiebler and Christian/Storm. Flair left in a limo, Jeff Hardy called a cab and was mobbed more than anyone. RVD was there with his wife and was mobbed a lot too. Booker T gave us the bug-eyed look at his hand as he drove by. Michaels left and surprisingly was not harassed like the other guys. I also saw Fink, Charles Robinson, Trish, Bubba, Maven, and Chris Nowinski. Rico came over, crossed the police line, and signed a bunch of autographs, and was generally very cool, I yelled "American Gladiators" and he said "Hey, someone watched that show." The rest of the superstars just hightailed it. A ton of people, 100-plus seemed to have backstage passes There was a security breakdown and the people standing across the streets just ran around 50 feet down the street to the other exit from the parking lot about a half hour after the show, which was very funny. There were cameras filming Triple H (I think) getting into a white van and following him leaving the parking lot, so look for that footage to appear in some form (MTV Special? Confidential?).

What You Didn't See On RAW: HBK/HHH
PW.com reader Alex Horohov sent this in:
Raw was really good live. One of the biggest things where I was sitting was when Bubba Ray I think threw one of the bags of clothes, a huge fight broke out and took out a row of chairs.
Not much after the cameras went off, Triple H held the belt over his head and then went to the back. RVD stayed a while and gave everyone in the front row a high five.
Biggest Pops 1.Shawn Michaels 2.Rob Van Dam 3.Dudley's coming out with clothes. 4.Y2J and Christian losing the towels 5.Kane
Biggest Heat 1.Triple H 2.Regal and Storm 3.Val Venis restarting the tag match again 4.Y2J and Christian 5.Batista

What You Didn't See On WWE RAW Last Night
Thanks to reader Kelly Lewis for sending in the following:
Hey, I just got back from RAW in Knoxville, TN. Let me say that I have been to every WCW and WWE/WWF event that has come to Knoxville and RAW tonight was one of the worst ever. The WWE needs something they need,” Stone Cold" Steve Austin and they need to END this stupid Roster Split. Nothing happened at the show, they played Lillian's song "Shout", showed some "Desire" videos, plugged the 10th Anniversary of RAW, and the Anthology CD. To many Commercials and nothing going on during commercials but a camera man messing w/ some female fans using there cell phones while they were talking to someone, and Lillian calling a fan on there cell phone and talking to them.
Only 1/2 of the Thompson Bowling Arena was filed up, the side w/ the camera had maybe 30 people on that side. The entire top was blacked out, and all of the camera side was blacked out. So when someone was talking into the camera, they were talking to nobody.

What You Didn't See On WWE RAW Last Night
Thanks to Tim Burkland & Brodie1234 for the following:
The 6 men judging the the pose down were all local IZW (Impact Zone Wrestling) wrestlers, The Navajo Warrior, Ghostwalker, Hollywood,"Outlaw" Mike Knox, Derrick Nightkirk, and KC Sikona.
For some reason, Johnny Stamboli could be seen hanging out during the ladies tag match under the entrance opposite the Titantron.
The arena seemed a lot fuller than the desciptions from recent events. The upper deck was tarped over on the side with the hard camera but the other side was pretty full and the lower level was full.
The crowd was not on fire. Most of us were content to sit through the matches, standing up only for the high spots and some of the entrances. People were pretty excited about HBK, RVD, and Kane.

What You Didn't See On RAW Last Night: Austin/Bischoff, more January 21, 2003
Thanks to reader Terry M for the following notes from live at RAW:
Very exciting show tonight from Providence, RI. While I had heard it was sold out, attendance looked to be about 8000 with the upper row curtained off on one side (behind the cameras).
Some random notes included obscene remarks yelled at Eric Bischoff and huge pops during the "You're Fired" video flashback. The biggest pop of the night went to Bischoff's "bombshell" regarding Austin. The most heat was for Lance Storm and William Regal.
Afterwards, not much happened. The new Horsemen posed at the top of the ramp, and a few minutes later Steiner got up to his music. Great show I thought, the matches were all decent, plenty of storylines were furthered, and they hid Steiner's failings a lot better than the night before. Good times, except when Stacy was knocked out and someone screamed "Hey, now that she's knocked out..."
