-- I have it on extremely good word that Jeff Hardy, who worked a local South Carolina event last week, is now revoking the "won’t work for anybody except WWE" policy he took up after being released by WWE.
-- It has been well reported that Hardy, who was released after failing a drugs test and not liking the option of going into rehab, has shifted his path of interest into the music industry, where he hopes to popularize his band (who have been compared a lot to the sound of the Stone Temple Pilots). However, what hasn’t been documented well enough is that Jeff still enjoys wrestling, and just didn’t quite like many things within his current WWE direction.
-- When he requested a lighter workload with WWE, it was handed to him in the form of less house shows. However, since WWE is based so multi-regionally, it still included a hefty amount of traveling, one of the things Jeff wanted to eliminate. By now working on the Indy circuit, he can easily command one of the highest Indy wages around and fit to his own schedule.
-- Hardy has recently been asking close friends for information about other top Indy promotions, such as NWA-TNA. The information he desired were viewage figures, who he could work programs for in the promotion, and how flexible the federations would be with his appearances. No matter what is reported elsewhere, talks between Jeff Hardy and NWA-TNA have taken place and since Hardy would be a huge fish in the relatively small TNA pond, the Nashville promotion have been quite accommodating to Hardy’s needs.
