More Information On The Elimination Chamber Match
Source: Various
-- Many people have been speculating about the Elimination Chamber match that is to take place at Survivor Series. Below is the exact information that has been released and confirmed by WWE:
» 6 men participate in the match. » It is for the World Title. » The 6 participants are Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Kane, Booker T and Rob Van Dam. » It is a totally new structure, not a morph of the Hell In A Cell or any other WWE creation. » It is made of pure Steel. » It has no give to it, unlike the Hell In A Cell. » It weighs 10 tons and is constructed with 2 miles of chains.
-- In regards to the actual match itself, and not the structure, two "random" participants from the 6 will start off in the ring. The other 4 will be locked in individual chambers, with a new man being released from his chamber every 5 minutes. When all 5 contenders have been eliminated, the new champion will be crowned.
-- Since the last RAW before Survivor Series has passed, (ie the last opportunity to hype up the match) do not expect any new surprises to be unleashed unless they are promoted on the UPN special tonight.
-- And finally, it is rumored that the only reason Chris Jericho was hyped as a real contender last night was so that, in the mind of the internet marks and smarter fans, another possible winner is thrown into the mix. This is a tactic WWE generally employs when more than 4 men are involved in any match, with the Royal Rumble being a main example of this.
In the mind of many, the only possible winners are HHH, HBK, with Kane having an outside chance. After last night’s broadcast, Jericho is another possible contender, but don’t look for him to seriously challenge the aforementioned three.
