Thanks to reader Robert Karpelas for the following:
- The crowd was allowed to enter the arena at around 7:15, so there was a huge pre-show line.
- On the Heat match, D-Lo Brown got major heel heat. The Armageddon pyro/opening was not very loud.
- There was huge heat on Storm and Regal in the opening match. Also, despite some disappointment when the Dudleys got eliminated so early, no one seemed to care after the Booker T/Goldust v. Christian/Jericho action picked up.
- When Dawn first came out, as I'm sure was evident on TV, she got a HUGE pop. WWE's plan to draw heat on Al Wilson worked nicely, as the fans were furious with him when he stopped the lesbian footage.
- The crowd was really into the Angle/Big Show match. However, when Albert interfered, some (who could not clearly see the ring) believed it was Brock Lesnar. The crowd also popped huge when Lesnar made his run-in, despite botching his F-5. Additionally, the audience seemed really surprised that Angle won the match.
- Within the first five minutes of the main event, the interest began fading. However, once HBK hit HHH with the barbed wire bat, the crowd was back in for the remainder of the match. As you know, that also began the "Holy Sh*t" chant. HBK's huge leap off the cage onto HHH was amazing in person and even after HHH won, the crowd was still shocked at HBK's performance. Nothing really happened after the cameras stopped rolling.
