More Details On Scott Steiner Signing With WWE
As we have been reporting for the past several months, WWE has been in negotiations with Scott Steiner. Despite Jim Ross claiming the contrary in his weekly Ross Report, Scott Steiner's represenatives have been in contact with WWE for quite some time trying to work a deal that pleases both parties.
While Jim Ross took the technical side in saying they have not been in negotiations with Scott Steiner, since they were technically negotiating with Steiner through his lawyers, it should be interesting to see how he handles the situation tomorrow in his Ross Report.
As the latest details on Scott Steiner's signing with WWE become available, including a debut date of some sort, we will be sure to pass it along.

Scott Steiner To Debut With WWE On Monday's RAW
Everyone backstage in WWE were surprised to see the company announce the signing of Scott Steiner on their website, rather than saving it for a surprise pop from a live audience.
The general consensus among those who made the decision to announce it was that with the internet these days, it was likely to get out before his television debut, so they assumed if anyone would announce it, it should be them.
As of this writing Scott Steiner has finalized all legal documents necessary to begin working shows for WWE, which leads many to believe they would have him debut on this coming Monday's RAW.
While negotiations have persisted between Scott Steiner's represenatives and WWE for quite some time now, many are under the impression that the sudden signing of Steiner was a move made by WWE to save face over the cult-like negative response the HHH/Katie Vick segment generated last Monday.

Scott Steiner Update: Contract Terms, Debut Date, & More
Jim Ross wrote that negotiations with Scott Steiner's represenatives only started on October 17th. That couldn't be further from the truth. WWE had Steiner take a number of physicals, as Steiner himself and JR himself mentioned on numerous occassions. There had been prior discussions between both parties stemming well back before October 17th, however the negotiations did just start to really get serious within the past two weeks.
JR said that Steiner signed what he referred to as a long-term WWE contract. He mentioned that doctors indicate Steiner is in great condition and will eventually work TV, PPV, and "a significant number of house show dates."
According to the Ross Report, Steiner has no confirmed start date with the company and the decision has not been made as to whether or not he will be a RAW or SmackDown! talent. However, it's highly likely he'll be part of the RAW roster.

Update On Scott Steiner's WWE Debut
Some are under the impression that Scott Steiner will be working on the SmackDown! brand, it seems almost inevitable at this point that Steiner will be working with RAW.
On the official WWE website there is an article about WWE wrestlers opinions on Scott Steiner. Many noticed that besides Booker T, everyone who commented was a SmackDown! superstar. There is nothing to that other than the fact that the SmackDown! crew, and Booker T due to Undertaker's absence, is doing shows overseas which is where the WWE website crew was.
While there's no guarantee that Steiner will debut this Monday on RAW, it's still a possibility. It looks as though Steiner won't have any dates to fulfill with Andrew McManus's WWA tour, but that is still not confirmed. However, many are under the impression that Steiner wouldn't have signed the dotted lines with WWE if he still had dates through November to fulfill.

Scott Steiner Not Debuting With WWE For Months?
Bob Ryder from NWA TNA recently contacted Andrew McManus of the World Wrestling All-Stars promotion. McManus was quoted as confirming Scott Steiner's appearances in his overseas tours in November and December.
One would wonder if Scott Steiner is working non-WWE dates all the way through the end of this year, and the fact that WWE announced his signing on their website, when will he debut on WWE TV?
Vince McMahon is known for a long time to refuse to allow non-exclusive workers on his television. Jim Ross even stated in a Ross Report a few months ago that wrestlers who are not under contract with WWE would not be used on their television.
The question would have to be, would WWE announce Scott Steiner signing with the company only to have him debut in 2003? Your guess is as good as mine, but I would highly doubt WWE would sign him to a contract if he was going to be working tours overseas for another promotion through the end of this year.
