Nidia Going On A Date, Hyatt/Alfonso In Court, & More
The airdate for the Bill Alfonso vs. Missy Hyatt court case on the syndicated Judge Mathis Show that we reported about a few weeks ago, will be on a Friday, November 8th. The case stems from an accident Bill Alfonso had with Missy Hyatt's car, and not having insurance to cover the damages. Knowing both of their personalities, it should make for some good television.
All next week WWE superstars will be appearing on the TV show, Blind Date. Similar to the old Love Connection show, WWE wrestlers will be paired with random dates for a night, and it will be filmed for TV. This coming Monday, Christopher Nowinski will be the superstar who is set up, and Tuesday will be Nidia.
UPN officially announced today the pre-Survivor Series special we have been talking about since Monday. The special will air next Tuesday at 9:00PM Eastern Time, and will be called "WWE Super Tuesday." We have complete spoilers for matches taped on our newsboard if you want to check them out.

Breaking News: Lennox Lewis Rejects WWE
Source: BoxingInsider.com
-- Below is an article printed on BoxingInsider.com. It has not been confirmed as of this writing, so take it as you read it:
"A source within Team Lennox Lewis has confirmed to Boxing Insider that the world heavyweight champion is unable to fulfil any proposals made by World Wrestling Entertainment.
This conclusion was reached by Lewis because the HBO schedule for Lewis the boxing champion made any commitments to a career in wrestling impractical.
This decision on wrestling gives one answer that satisfies two questions: One is the wrestling question, and the second is to the boxing question on whether Lewis is about to retire as a fighter.
This has to mean that, Lennox Lewis has no intention of abdicating his boxing crown while there is, at this present time, no proven outstanding contender to the heavyweight crown.
It is sad that Lennox Lewis should even contemplate turning his back on boxing, which has been such a good friend to him, for the fantasy sport, sorry entertainment, of wrestling.
His reason for turning down the offer from WWE would have had a real depth of quality had he turned down the offer to become part of the wrestling circus because he did not want to risk the supreme champion of the toughest of all sports, as opposed to entertainment, being made to look a laughing stock, and thereby degrade the sport of boxing that made possible the interest of the WWE.
The boxing fan is equal in loyalty to the staunchest of any other sporting fan. They deserve being paid back with loyalty from boxers, especially those to whom boxing has been a savior.
Without fans there would be no boxing as we know it. Lennox Lewis, Naseem Hamed and others would not be millionaires if dutiful boxing fans hadn't dug deep into their pockets to allow them to be paid millions of dollars, or pounds, for their boxing activities. Nor would there would be an award of honor from H.M.The Queen of England.
The fans deserve the utmost respect.
Certain boxing champions seem to want to criticize boxing, by wanton, careless, and often incorrect attitudes to boxing. This selfish behavior is distressing to devoted boxing fans.
Therefore, it would serve these misguided critics well if they kept a still tongue, or, at least, made sure their facts are correct. And when offers come from comedy acts that perverts champs into chumps, the boxing champion has to fully understand that he has an obligation to the fans who are hurt by anyone degrading their favorite sport."

Inside Details On Scott Steiner's WWE Debut
The latest on Scott Steiner is that he will be debuting with WWE at Survivor Series on November 17th from Madison Square Garden.
The general talk in the backstage area is to have an "unexpected" debut at the Survivor Series PPV which would then have fans tune in the next night to watch RAW.
At that time, Scott Steiner would make what they would call his "WWE debut" live on RAW. They figure it's a way to get the RAW rating up and keep people tuned in for at least several weeks to follow.
More information as it becomes available.

HHH Trashes Other Superstars, Elimination Chamber, Lesnar/Edge
The following highlights come from HHH's interview with The Cincinnati Enquirer:
HHH currently feels that he is RAW Champion because he is the most talented guy on the show. He feels that he is one of the few RAW superstars who has found his niche and has a lot going for him creatively.
HHH is very psyched about the Elimination Chamber match (which he refers to as the "cell match") which will be crazy with five other guys in the ring at the same time. HHH doesn't know what to expect, but know it will be a great experience.
HHH currently most wants to wrestle three Smackdown superstars: Edge, Brock Lesnar and Benoit. He feels they all have a lot of talent and would make great opponents.

Latest On Vince Russo's Situation With NWA-TNA
According to Jason Powell of the Pro Wrestling Torch, Vince Russo was absent in presence at last night's NWA-TNA pay-per view for the second week in a row. As we reported last week, Russo seemingly lost a power struggle for control over the writing in NWA-TNA with Jerry Jarrett.
TNA office officials claim the situation was nothing more than a misunderstanding over what Russo told the new majority owner of NWA-TNA, Panda Energy.
The official word coming from NWA-TNA last week was that Russo was given a week off to let both Jarrett and himself cool down a bit. He was expected to return to last night's show, but was nowhere to be found. When wrestlers asked where Russo was, they were not given a direct answer to clarify anything going on.

WWE RAW Brand News/Notes, Rob Van Dam/CNN News
Rob Van Dam is one of several WWE superstars that has been interviewed for a CNN segment covering, among other things, the current direction of WWE. The segment is scheduled to air this Friday night in the 10 p.m. hour during CNN's Newsnight with Aaron Brown.
According to the UPN50's Detroit Website, WWE's special won't be on until next Sunday at 5:00 P.M due to Detroit Red Wings Hockey. They have it listed as being "Haunted" (which was cancelled) instead of wrestling.
WWE RAW brand house shows will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 2, 2003, at 7:30 PM and January 3, 2003, at 7:30 PM.

Kurt Angle/Brock Lesnar News, Hulk Hogan's Book
As you may or may not know, the Kurt Angle classic is underway and will last through Sunday. Kurt Angle will be off from WWE throughout the duration of the event, but Brock Lesnar (who will also be appearing at the KA Classic Event) does plan on working the Smackdown shows for the weekend. Angle will also be wrestling at the OVW TV Tapings this Wednesday.
Hulk Hogan, along with the ghost writer of his book (Michael Jan Friedman), will be appearing on the 11/20 edition of the Today Show. As a reminder, the latest word is that Hogan will not be appearing on WWE television anytime soon, but as we all know, that could end up changing.

WWE/House Show News, New SmackDown! Game, & More - Thanks to Brian Sims for the following; I just wanted to inform you that a review of the new PS2 game "WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth" has been posted on Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com). The review can be found at gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/reviews/0,10867,2897046,00.html. The game scored a rating of 8.9/10 ("Great"). Here is a quote from the review that I personally found to be tremendously amusing: "The wrestler models are incredibly well done, and in some cases they look so close to their real-life counterparts it's almost spooky to see them staring you in the face. Hulk Hogan, who is probably the most accurate of the bunch, actually looks like a withering old man with plenty of wrinkles on his face and a deteriorating muscle structure." - I have heard from a number of readers who are irked that WWE.com is no longer updating the cards for house shows on the website, as they used to in the past. I have no idea why they stopped doing so. In fact, in the past it was a common practice among the wrestlers to check the site to see who they were working with on the shows.

Scott Steiner Will Not Be Making WWA Tour, Details On WWE Debut
I have it on good authority that Scott Steiner will not be making the WWA Tour, despite being originally advertised for it. The tour is scheduled to run from 11/28 to 12/13, and WWE does not want to have him work the tour (since he'll probably be on TV by that period).
Therefore, a settlement was reached between WWA and WWE. WWE will send several talent on the tour to make up for Steiner's absence. Names that I'm hearing from my sources backstage are Perry Saturn and The Godfather. As you can tell, WWE will not likely be sending anyone major.
One detail that hasn't been brought up is the WWA Championship which Steiner currently holds. Be sure to return to this website for updates on that

WWE Employee To Get 15 Years, News on Firing, & More
- Today's edition of the New York Daily News has more information on the arrest of former WWE World manager Kenton Jenkins. The 39 year old Jenkins, who was arrested yesterday at his home in Demarest, NJ, is being accused of using a fraudulent construction firm as a vehicle to embezzle $447,000 from The World. One of the things that is so surprising about this is that Jenkins was making $195,000 a year as the manager. In his role as manager, he sent the checks to a company called CSG, which he owned, during the period when WWE was renovating The World last year. The News said that Jenkins, who was fired last summer when The World was not making money, used the embezzled funds to buy a $160,000 speedboat and make mortgage payments.
WWE discovered the missing money on 9/23 during a review of finances and when a forensic accounting firm went over the books. They turned the findings over to the Manhattan District Attorney's office on 9/25 and that led to the charges being filed against Jenkins, who faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled to be arraigned today. We will have more on Jenkin's' arraignment as it comes in.

World Wildlife Fund Taking WWE Back To Court
The following is an article from the UK Telegraph:
Lawyers from WWF, the charity formerly known as the World Wildlife Fund, are to claim for damages "worth several million pounds" against World Wrestling Entertainment, the professional wrestling organisation. They are reigniting a conflict over use of the WWF name.
The WWF, which campaigns to protect endangered species, including the snow leopard (above), confirmed last week that a formal claim for damages was pending, even though a legal battle over the use of the "WWF" initials was settled in June in the charity's favour.
Before that, wrestling business traded as the World Wrestling Federation.
World Wrestling Entertainment reacted furiously on Friday to news of the claim, describing the WWF's move as "offensive" and "unprecedented for a charity to be engaged in".
But the WWF, run by Robert Napier, ex-chief executive of Redland, the building group, claims the wrestlers caused extensive damage to its brand by using its name illegally.
A spokesman refused to reveal the exact size of the damages claim, but said the WWF would consider a negotiated settlement with the wrestlers.

Another Austin/WWE Update, Steiner News, HHH Fight
As an update to my post earlier this weekend, which described the changes in WWE.com since Austin walked out, it appears WWE has made another one. StoneCold.com now simply redirects to WWE.com.
During the HHH/Kane main event of the RAW house show last night in Philadelphia, a fight broke out in the stands. HHH made reference to the fight, yelling on the mic "Stop, I'm trying to work here!". Later in the match, another fight started. In response to that, HHH yelled "Throw the b*tch out!".
WWE disappointed many fans last night who watched Confidential. Last week, a Scott Steiner interview was promoted. That interview, however, did not air last night. In fact, WWE did not even apologize for not having it on the show. This is not the first time WWE has cancelled a segment on Confidential without giving warning, but this did come to the displeasure of many fans who had interest in hearing Steiner talk about signing with WWE.

WWE Fails To Deliver Promised Scott Steiner Interview
Last night on WWE Confidential, an interview with Scott Steiner was promoted throughout the week to air on the program.
The show focused on Crash Holly and the 24/7 hardcore championship and a touching story of how Rico saved someone's life when he was a cop. They had segments on WWE entrance music with HBK telling how important his song is and how he can't sing or dance. Also, Bubba Ray was shown goofing off at the 2nd annual Bradshaw charity golf tournament.
Despite all mentioned above, WWE had promoted a long sit-down interview with Scott Steiner to air on Confidential. For whatever reason, no mention of Steiner, other than the same vignette that airs on RAW and SmackDown, was made.
The interview was taped last Wednesday during Steiner's trip to the WWE offices in Stamford, Connecticut. Despite the promotion of it airing on Confidential, WWE decided not to.
