Miss TNA Bruce Speaks On Being Fired From WWE, & More
Alan Funk, known to some as Kwee Wee from WCW, The Funkster from WWA, and Miss TNA Bruce from NWA-TNA, was recently interviewed by journalist Matthew Boone.
Funk didn't hold anything back and said he didn't like being released from WWE when he was brought in from the WCW merger to work their developmental system.
Alan spoke on the Vince Russo/NWA-TNA stories by saying he heard a rumor that if Jerry Jarrett were to leave the company, and Russo were to take over, Syxx-Pac and Scott Hall would no longer work for the promotion.
Alan Funk commented on the backstage atmosphere in WCW by saying it depends on who you talk to determine whether or not it was as political as everyone says. Funk said he personally talked with Hulk Hogan a few times, and he was very respectful to him. Funk also mentioned Nash acted backstage the same way he did on-air during his storyline as trainer for the Nature Born Thrillers stable.

Inside Details On HBK/HHH At Survivor Series
As you know, this Sunday's Survivor Series PPV will be headlined by the Elimination Chamber match, which features Shawn Michaels, Triple H, RVD, Booker T, Kane and Chris Jericho competing for the World Title. However, new details have surfaced regarding the match.
Apparently, WWE had originally planned to simply run a Triple H v. HBK re-match at Survivor Series. Due to the finish at Summerslam, a re-match was inevitable and WWE officials judged Survivor Series to be the right time.
However, realizing that stars like Booker T, Jericho, RVD, and Kane also are at the top of the RAW roster (with more of a future than Shawn Michaels), WWE decided to throw them into the mix, so that fans would recognize all of them as title contenders. Doing this allows WWE to easily use any of the aforementioned men in PPV main events down the road.
Despite the positives of adding four guys to the match, many backstage still feel that fans really wanted to see an HBK v. HHH match, so WWE may end up doing a final rematch at a later date.

Brock Lesnar Injured, Goldberg's Return, Maven, & More
Keji Muto announced that Goldberg will be wrestling this Sunday for W-1 at Yokohama. Those close to Goldberg claim it's only a possibility at this point, and is not confirmed yet. Goldberg apparently wants to get Rick Steiner involved in the show as well, but it's doubtful.
The Joanie "Chyna" Laurer segment that was taped for "The Best d**n Sports Show Period" will air on Thursday night on FOX Sports Net. Laurer basically reviews some video footage of her work against Masahiro Chono in Japan.
The Super Tuesday WWE show has been moved from 5:00pm on Sunday, to 9:00pm on Sunday. This basically means that those in Detroit have to choose to order Survivor Series, or watch a taped show which purpose is to promote Survivor Series.
Brock Lesnar suffered a cracked rib at last Saturday's WWE house show in Champaign, Illinois. Lesnar's rib injury is why they didn't do Lesnar/Big Show main-event matches at the last two house shows. No word on whether or not the injury will keep Lesnar from having a match on tonight's SmackDown! tapings, but it seems to be a possibility at this point. As of this writing, Lesnar is going to compete at Survivor Series despite the injury.

Royal Rumble Match To Be Changed Next January
The following news is derived and re-written from the Torch Newsletter.
Although nothing is confirmed at this point, there have been a few ideas tossed around at recent production meetings to slightly modify the Royal Rumble match stipulations.
Due to the seperation in rosters, the original concept behind the Rumble for many years would not work out so well. At one point, there was small talk of having the Rumble match take place in two rings, one for RAW, one for SmackDown! That idea has since been s Rubbishped, but McMahon is said to still be open for modifications to the match.
Many are pushing for McMahon to leave the format as it is due to the longevity and prestige behind the match. However, due to past stipulations, the winner of the match is to receive a heavyweight title shot at WrestleMania. There are currently two heavyweight champions at this point, which complicates the stipulations involved in the Royal Rumble match in January.

Very Interesting Tidbits Concerning The Roster Split
Ever since WWE launched the "roster split" (or, in WWE terms, 'brand extension') almost anyone asked would say WWE TV has taken a severe turn for the worse. With that said, many look to blame the roster split for the recent ratings problems WWE has been having. In fact, Vince McMahon even admitted its failure at a WWE financial conference a while back. Below are the ratings figures for WWE in a before-and-after type of chart.
First WWE Broadcasts Of The Year: RAW (4.9) Smackdown (3.8) Last Pre-Split WWE Broadcast: RAW (5.4) Smackdown (3.7) Most Recent WWE Shows: RAW (3.1) Smackdown (3.6)
As you can see, the split has hurt the entire company, but more damage has been done to the RAW rating. Like many have said, RAW (especially since Austin's walkout) lacks the talent to attact viewers and has just not been entertaining in a while.

Armageddon Preview, Super Tuesday Rating, Owen Hart, Konnan
Konnan a former WCW star will be appearing at the Ring of Honor show on 12/28 in Philly.
WWE Super Tuesday scored an overnight rating of 3.2 with a 5 share. That is below what Smackdown normally does on UPN, but is well above what the cancelled show in that timeslot normally did. The final rating for Super Tuesday came in at 2.3.
The FX network will be doing a feature film about the life of Owen Hart. "The Owen Hart Story" is currently in development by Paul A. Kaufman's Kaufman Co. for Artisan Television.
WWE has released their official poster for WWE Armageddon, which of course as mentioned earlier is the December WWE PPV. The poster is very simple with a red fire background overwritten by the WWE Logos and Armageddon text. A short preview was released with the poster stating, "The day of reckoning is near..."

Ric Flair Makes Appearance At Hornets Basketball Game
Thanks to Brian Milici for the following report:
Tonight the New Orleans Hornets hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves from the 'Hive' (aka the New Orleans Arena). The Nature Boy Ric Flair was the guest announcer for the Hornets.
Right before the Hornets intro Ric Flair's sound bite of "To be the man, you've got to beat the man" played. Then they played his entrance music while Flair came out under spotlight in his signature wrestling robes. He said, "We love the Big Easy, but more importantly we love the New Orleans Hornets and they are styling and profiling." He then did the starting lineup of the Hornets. He called New Orleans guard Baron Davis his main man. I believe they did a commercial while the team was in Charlotte.
Actor John Cusack was also present in New Orleans for the game

Scott Steiner's Confirmed Debut Date, Stephanie Chat
With all the talk continuing to buzz around the wrestling world about Scott Steiner, there are really only two main questions that need to be answered. What roster will he be on and when will he debut? Well, there is talk going around that "Big Poppa Pump" might debut as early as the Survivor Series this Sunday. As for what roster he'll be on, the WWE still wants Steiner to be on the Raw roster to help build up ratings, especially with Raw's terrible 3.1 performance on Monday.
Smackdown's General Manager Stephanie McMahon will be doing a live chat on MSN tonight at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT).

Austin Return to Raw, Warrior Returning, Russo Update
Vince Russo will return to his roots once again as he will be writing a series of articles for British Wrestling Magazine, Total Wrestling. Russo was a former writer/editor for WWF Magazine before he moved into a booking capacity.
The following Press Release was given out by ROH about The Ultimate Warrior returning to the ring:
The Ultimate Warrior is coming to Ring Of Honor with a purpose on December 28th. He wants to shed the current image he has from his last run in WCW and show his true love and passion for true competition. There will be no facepainting or playing a gimmick when The Ultimate Warrior comes to Ring Of Honor. Warrior knows that Ring Of Honor is the place to show your true wrestling skills and perform the art of professional wrestling on a respected platform. He is coming to bring pure workrate back to the United States." Says Warrior: "I really miss wrestling, not that sports entertainment that McMahon is peddling as wrestling, a lot and I thank Ring Of Honor for the opportunity to let me continue to hone my craft and pass my knowledge to an enthusiastic and respectful group like the one in Ring Of Honor. It's an honor for me to work with guys that have the same vision of what wrestling should be. Keep the tradition and passion that we started going because nobody, not even the top guys, can stop this from building momentum. If I can help newcomers like Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles learn the main event style, than all the better. Long live matwork and Ring of Honor."
In a follow up to an earlier post about Scott Steiner and his debut on Raw, although it is still not certain when and if Steve Austin will return to the ring, more and more reports come out signaling that it could be close to happening and the lateste bit of news is that Austin will be returning to the RAW brand when and if he does return. It had been speculated all along that IF Austin was going to return, that Scott Steiner would be moved to Smackdown, but with ratings as bad as they are it is likely that both men will appear on RAW.
