Latest On Austin/WWE Negotiations
The WWE is now very confident in bring back Stone Cold Steve Austin. Although nothing has been confirmed, it is expected that Steve Austin will re-debut on the RAW 10th Anniversary show.
General consensus in the WWE regarding Austin is not “if” he returns, rather “when” he returns. If negotiations go well between Austin and the WWE, the 10th Anniversary RAW is believed to be Austin’s debut. However, other possibilities include the Royal Rumble, and the RAW following it.

Mick Foley/WWE, Godfather's Release, WWE Censored, more
The following news is derived and re-written from the Torch Newsletter.
Cable industry sources are claiming that WWE has grown frustrated with the limitations given to them by MTV for their Sunday program, HEAT. According to the source, MTV has rejected a lot of storyline proposals since acquiring the weekly WWE program, and even goes as far as to prohibiting the wrestlers from using swear words, even if they are censored. WWE is obviously mad due to other shows on their network such as Jackass, Andy thingy, and so on, that has so much freedom, while they are forced to be the Brady Bunch show on their listing.
Mick Foley's WWE contract expires this month. As of this writing there are no plans to renegotiate a new contract to keep Foley employed by WWE.
Charles Wright, aka The Godfather, will not be appearing on Andrew McManus's World Wrestling All-Stars tour as previously advertised. He was part of a loan to WWA in return for Scott Steiner getting out of his WWA obligations in time to debut with WWE television. However, Godfather apparently suffered an injury in training recently that will prevent him from working the overseas tour. The Godfather was released from WWE last week.

Bam Bam Bigelow Coming Out Of Retirement
Bam Bam Bigelow will be coming out of retirement for at least until late 2003.
Bam Bam sought a second opinion from another doctor regarding his back surgery, and was informed he can wrestle another year without any problems. Bam Bam has indeed decided to wrestle one more year. It is not expected for the WWE to contact Bigelow due to their current efforts with Steve Austin, and various other talent.
For those who wish to book Bam Bam for shows or autograph signings, you are asked to contact Frank Goodman, at his toll free number, 800-582-5541.

Several WWE Wrestlers On The Verge Of Being Fired
The following news is derived and re-written from the Torch Newsletter.
Although D-Von Dudley was happy to be working with Bubba again both because of their friendship and the fact that it would be giving D-Von a push, he wasn't thrilled about moving from the SmackDown! locker room to the RAW locker room. Apparently, many RAW wrestlers submit ideas to management that would have them working on the SmackDown! brand, as that is easily the preferred locker room in WWE at the moment mainly in part due to Triple H and Brian Gewirtz on the RAW side.
For about two weeks now, rumors having been running rampant that WWE is on the verge of releasing a lot of their non high-caliber wrestlers. Among the names included for the possible cuts are Raven, Ron Simmons, Justin Credible, Johnny Stamboli, and Shannon Moore. Simmons is expected to take the role of road agent after officially retiring from in-ring competition last week. The rest, are all in danger of being hit by the proverbial WWE axe.

Rumors On The Future Of Scott Steiner/WWE
Scott Steiner is not expected to sign with RAW or SmackDown any time soon. It is expected he will be a “free agent” between the shows. It appears the WWE is currently using him for ratings at this time.
When he does decide to sign with RAW or SmackDown, it is likely that the WWE will put Steiner on the same show as Austin, thus pinning Steve Austin vs. Scott Steiner. The Rock’s return is anticipated to bring up SmackDown ratings on its own.

WWE Reserves Super Kick, RVD/Armageddon Story By: Kevin Resendes December 12, 2002
WWE put up a sign backstage at RAW this past Monday saying all other workers not to perform super kicks in their matches. The move is reserved for Shawn Michaels only.
Rob Van Dam will be hosting Armageddon at the World this Sunday, meaning he will not be at the event. It is probable; however, he will be making some appearances via satellite.

HBK Getting Special Privelages, RVD/HHH Politics, more Apparently, there was a sign backstage at last Monday's RAW that informed all wrestlers not to use a super kick in any of their matches. There was one person the move was reserved for and that was Shawn Michaels.
Rob Van Dam will be hosting this Sunday's WWE Armageddon pay-per view party at The World in Times Square, New York. Looks as though Triple H is doing quite the number on RVD, as many believe the past few weeks of on-air burying can be credited to "The Game."

Dawn Marie/Stern, Kurt Angle/Shawn Morley, Hebner
Dawn Marie will appear on the Howard Stern radio show tomorrow at 7 AM. Judging by Howard's last interview with a WWE female, Stephanie McMahon, this one should also be very revealing and something not to miss.
Both Kurt Angle and Shawn Morley are going to be on tomorrow's Byte This! Expect Kurt to talk about his title match with Big Show set for Sunday at Armageddon.
WWE.com has an article up about Dave Hebner. Dave has been in the business for a while and had a trademark of not wearing knee pads while refereeing. The article is focused on how his knees paid the price, forcing Hebner to get surgery.

Interesting Armageddon News, Nunzio, SmackDown!
The WWE Armageddon website indicates that Chris Nowinski vs. Maven has been added to Sunday's Armageddon card. Strangely enough, however, the confirmed Kane/Batista match for Sunday does not appear on the website (at least as of press time for this article). As a note, that match has not been officially cancelled, so it's just likely a WWE mistake.
WWE.com has an interesting article about James "Nunzio" Maritato up. It goes over a variety of topics including his amateur wrestling history, his friendship with Tommy Dreamer, and more.
Last night’s SmackDown! on UPN came in third place in the overnight ratings, with a 4.4. Check back later this evening for the final broadcast rating.

Recap Of Dawn Marie On Howard Stern
Thanks to James R. for sending this in:
Dawn Marie appeared on the Howard Stern Show this morning during the 7 o’clock hour.
She was greeted by Stern doing an impression of station engineer Scott Salem; she didn’t seem quite sure how to react. It didn’t take long for Howard to focus his attention on Dawn’s sexy attire. When asked, she admitted to not wearing a bra. She then admitted not wearing any panties!!! Howard asked if she was married, she said she was not but that she is currently living with her boyfriend (a pro wrester).
When the topic switched to this weekend’s pay-per-view, Dawn tried to stay in character and talked about how much she loves messing with Torrie Wilson. Howard inquired about the Smack Down segment from last week, Dawn recapped the storyline. When asked about the lesbian kiss, Dawn said it was her first. Howard asked what we might see during the pay-per-view. Dawn said she had a hidden camera in the hotel room and that she will show the tape at Armageddon. When asked if we would see any nudity, Dawn responded “You’ll have to watch and see.”. Howard took that, as I did, no nudity.
Dawn sat in and played Mike Walker’s National Enquirer Gossip Game. Both Dawn and Howard guessed the fake story.
Howard ended the segment with another plug for Armageddon and thanked Dawn for coming in.

New Armageddon Match, Mean Gene Okerlund, & More
Maven vs. Christopher Nowinski has been added to the line-up for this Sunday's WWE Armageddon pay-per view. Isn't it odd that two contestants from Tough Enough (one who didn't even win the contest) can get a match on a pay-per view, but Rob Van Dam is stuck shaking hands in Times Square, New York?
Mean Gene Okerlund will be the guest on WrestleZone Radio this coming Tuesday morning. For more information on WrestleZone Radio and the upcoming show with Mean Gene, head over to WrestleZoneRadio.com.
WWE.com has an interesting article up about James "Nunzio" Maritato. He was interviewed by the website team and talked about his time in ECW, being in WWE finally, and much more. They also have the video clip up of his debut on SmackDown! this past Thursday night.

Armageddon Match Changes, Steiner/SmackDown, more
As I reported yesterday, WWE's Armageddon website listed Chris Nowinski vs. Maven instead of Kane vs. Batista. Others went on to call Nowinski/Maven a definite new match, despite it seeming to be a simple WWE.com mistake. Well, the match has since been removed from WWE.com, and the correct Kane vs. Batista is on the site in its place. Nowinski/Maven may be announced on Heat, as either a match at the PPV or for the Heat telecast, but nothing relating to that match has been confirmed.
Scott Steiner will be working today's SmackDown! house show in Jacksonville. It should be noted that Steiner is still set to be a RAW roster member, with his house show appearance being yet another brand extension flaw. WWE often wonders why people have not shown much interest in house shows, well maybe the fact that WWE doesn't make sure all the rosters are true-to-storyline has some influence.

Goldberg To WWE, Austin's Return, Rock, Steiner/HHH
According to PWTorch.com, there are rumors going around that WWE is making a big stride in attempting to sign Goldberg for a match at WrestleMania. If that were to happen, this year's WrestleMania would be monumental.
Current ideas for WrestleMania show Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar, Triple H vs. Scott Steiner, HBK's return to WrestleMania, Kevin Nash could be back in time for WrestleMania, and negotiations with Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan would definitely be possible for WrestleMania as well. Of course, The Rock will also be available to work the show.

WWE Upset With Scott Steiner, Gail Kim News, more
WWE road agents have not been happy with Scott Steiner's in-ring performance on house shows. Although there has not been much negative feedback regarding his promos on TV, there is quite a bit of disappointment with how he is wrestling. It is widely hoped that he will improve by the time he debuts in the ring on TV.
To the contrary, newly signed diva Gail Kim is impressing everyone involved with the company, from road agents, to WWE officials, to actual in-ring talent. Many feel that she is doing a phenomenal job in the ring and should be successful upon debuting on TV.

More WWE/Porn Problems, WWE Suffers In 2002
Various readers have brought it to my attention that on the WWE.com television preview pages (for shows like Heat, Velocity and Confidential) there is a WWE Corpbiz advertisement button on the right-hand side. However, when one clicks it, it takes them to wwfecorpiz.com, which now houses a porn site. This is the second error of its kind reported, with the first being links on WWERoyalRumble.com.
To the best of my knowledge, WWE sold off many of their domains containing WWF. The domain brokers who purchased these turned around and sold them to independent webmasters, who are using them for porn and other personal ventures. I know for a fact that a few WWF domain names were recently available in e-Bay auctions.
In the "Lycos Top 50 Search Terms", the term WWE apparently took 18th place for the year 2002. That number is down from 10th place in 2001.
